Passed exam…ready for action… 4 EPC’s lined up

Well, I have passed the exam, so now I just await to get re-accredited - I need my certificate for this. I keep waiting by the door for the post!

I have applied for a new device through etech (a HTC HD2) to carry out my domestic work , this should enable me to speed up the process for completing the EPC and therefore I will be able to stay price competitive even with the new version of RdSAP.

I am excited about the launch of the Green Deal…. I hope it does go ahead as I am sure it will encourage people to implement energy efficient products. I know it will encourage me.

Must go as I am tidiying up my paperwork ready to get started on the first four EPC’s that I have been instructed to complete.

One is in Sandbach CW11 3PF, one in Rixton – a farm WA3 6DT and two in Knutsford WA16 9BA and WA16 8HH…

Looking forward to using my new etech device !

Frank Marshalls have just asked me for a quote on a shop in Northwich.

I am delighted, as it is the first commercial EPC that they have enquired about, normally I just help them with domestic EPC’s.

I have signed off all my existing EPC work now – and been paid for most?!

Now I am studying for an exam, that has to be taken and passed before 6^th April otherwise one cannot trade and supply energy assessments any more.

Part of the reason for this new exam, is the implementation of the “Green Deal” in October 2012.

Alongside the Green Deal, changes will be made, on how energy certificates are produced and represented.

Exciting…

Wilmslow to Winsford…what a job

Last week, I also completed a strange angular building in Winsford – now that was unusual. This would be an ideal property for someone that wants to renovate… it needs complete refurbishment, but it would be nice once it is finished.

I also went to a house in Wilmslow – very over grown and perhaps structurally inadequate now also – shame. A recluse lived there. But, it is in a great location. A nice detached family home, plenty of space around it and right near the roundabout as you come in from Knutsford. Complete refurb needed also. There are lots of properties out there just waiting to be looked after.

Did I tell you about the one I went ot on the Heath in Knutsford – nice town house. Nice if you like living on three stories.

Best go, as I am off to Lymm…

If you are looking to sell/rent or just try to cut your energy bills on your house, or business, in Cheshire then look no further for your EPC.

I am getting lots of work from Google, recommendations and referrals.

Last week I completed an EPC on house on Longridge in Knutsford for £60. I am off to Lymm today

I offer a great service, one that you can trust, many people give me their keys so that I can complete them without inconveniencing the owner.

I have also had some commercial work from Fifield Glyn – one was a large GP’s practice in Frodsham and one I just finished on Friday was a large office on Gadbrook Park Rudheath. Now, that was a nice building!

Anyway – must get on….

What a busy time it has been.

Today I have just completed an EPC in Knutsford on Heath Drive for £60. The client found me on the national register of listed DEA’s. She gave me a call and hey presto…

During the last two days I have been working hard on a commercial EPC in Northwich – London Road, it was over 1,000 square meters in size. For heating it used a hot air blower and some air conditioning units.

I acquired this work from FifieldGlyn, a large Chartered Surveyors Company in Cheshire whom also have offices in London! Very exciting.

They have also asked me to complete another commercial EPC in Frodsham, The High Street ASAP. The building actually looks quite complicated, it has lots of extensions over three floors. It should be ok as long as I have spare batteries for my disto!

Just before Christmas I had a last minute call asking for me to complete a Commercial EPC in Knutsford at the Bakers on King Street ( I used to get my lunch from there every day as a lass), I had just finished it I and thought that I was finished for the holidays when I got another last minute call urgently requiring a Commercial EPC in Altrincham – which I did on the last working day before Christmas.

On another note – this year we have had a software update – so I have had to spend time uploading that!

Also; I/we/all domestic assessors have been notified that we have to take a new exam before April 1^st otherwise we won’t be able to trade! This of course means more training. I may take the course online and save the cost of going to London to do some desk based training.

STROMA are really excellent, they offer such a lot to their accredited Assessors.

Cycled to complete a domestic in Knutsford CHESHIRE

What wonderful weather.
I have been able to complete some local Domestic EPC’s in Knutsford on my bike! I have just ridden back from Springwood Avenue off Moberly Road WA16 8HZ. A very nice lady and her very helpful son.
I have also been over to Chapel-en-le-Frith to complete a Commercial EPC. Again owned by a lovely lady, she is going to rent it out to an Estate Agents I think. The building is beautiful – very old – solid stone walls over 700mm thick! It is a scorching day – yet it was freezing inside the building!
I completed both EPC’s for a very reasonable price, plus I was fast efficient and all done with a smile.

Commercial EPC Wilmslow

Oh my gosh I have never been so busy. I am not complaining – I am delighted.

Today I went to complete and EPC on a Chinese takeaway in Wilmslow. Hawthorn Street SK9 5EH. The gentleman was lovely and I reduced his fee from £175 to £160 because he was an ideal client – he didn’t distract me, yet he was very helpful. He even got his ladders out for me to look in the loft – very kind. He had described his building accurately on the phone and it was all that he said it was. I was very straight forward.

He found my name on the internet- Google search to be precise!

I have also now signed up to Metropix, because I have been doing a fair amount of domestic EPCs and floor plans for Marshalls all over Cheshire.

Oh – I have also been asked to complete a commercial EPC in Chapel-on-the –Frith… just need to make the appointment.

Its late now and i have been working all day – so good night…
