Domestic Energy Performance Certicates (EPC’s) only £60

What is a domestic epc?

Since 2007 it has been a legal requirement to have an EPC prepared if you sell your house. This applies to all sizes of buildings.

The EPC is a document which calculates the amount of energy used by the property to heat and light an area of one square meter. It is based upon average levels of energy usage for that type of house rather than the actual amount of energy used by the current occupants.

You can see an example of a domestic epc by clicking here. It is really like the energy rating that you would get on a fridge or other electrical appliance. Along with energy consumption, the epc rating shows how much carbon dioxide is emitted to heat and light the house and the rating given is from A to G.

The EPC will be supported by a recommendations report which makes suggestions about how the energy performance can be improved. Cheshire Energy Assessors are happy to discuss the contents of the report with you and explain its meaning.

Who can prepare an epc?

The EPC can only be prepared be someone who is qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor (dipDEA) who is accredited and insured. Cheshire Energy Assessors have all the necessary qualifications etc to provide this service to you.

How much does it cost?

Cheshire Energy Assessors are committed to keeping the cost of your epc to an absolute minimum. We charge £60 fully inclusive for an EPC of any domestic property in our area of up to five bedrooms. We are also happy to provide EPC’s for larger properties and those outside of our area on request.

What do I have to do to get an EPC?

It couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is give Cheshire Energy Assessors a call on 01565 633717 or send an email to

enquiries@cheshire-energy-assessors.co.uk.

We will then contact you to arrange your EPC. You will need to give us access to your property and the inspection will take about an hour. We will then lodge the EPC and give a copy to you and whoever is handling the sale of your property if this is required.
